Hi!
Your school uses Propiler to lend things to students — for example cameras, computers or measuring tools. This page tells you what Propiler keeps about you, and why.
What we keep about you
Your name.
Your class.
What you have borrowed, when you borrowed it, when it is due back and when you returned it.
Whether your parent or guardian has said yes to you having a login. We keep only the answer, for example “yes” or “not yet” — no papers.
Your login code, if your school has given you one. It is a class code and a student code.
Your email address — but only if your parent or guardian has said yes and you have your own account with email. Otherwise you don’t need an email address.
When you log in, we also keep some technical details, like the internet address (IP address) that was used. This helps us protect Propiler from cheating and break-ins.
Why?
So your school knows who has borrowed what, and when it should come back.
So you can see what you have borrowed.
Who can see it?
Your teachers and other people at your school who look after lending.
You. When you log in, you see only your own loans and which things are free to borrow. You never see what other students have borrowed — and they don’t see what you have borrowed.
A few people at Arctiv AB, the company that makes Propiler, if they need to help your school when something isn’t working.
Everything is kept on secure computers (servers) in Stockholm, Sweden.
How long do we keep it?
For as long as you borrow things from your school. Your school decides when you are removed, for example when you leave the school.
When your school removes you, your name, your email address and your codes are deleted. All that is left is that “a student” borrowed something — not who.
The technical details are deleted automatically after a while.
Things we never do
We never show you ads.
We never sell information about you.
We don’t use AI to learn things about you, and we don’t train any AI on your information.
We don’t track where you are.
We don’t make a profile of you or try to guess things about you.
Some features are switched off for schools from the start — for example saving where a teacher’s phone was when something was lent out. If your school switches on something like that, your school should tell you.
Your rights
You have the right to:
know what we keep about you,
have mistakes fixed,
sometimes have information deleted.
Ask your teacher or someone else at your school. Your parent or guardian can ask your school too. You or your parent or guardian can also email us at support@crdbag.com — then we help your school answer.
If you live in the EU and think something is wrong with how information about you is handled, you, or your parent or guardian, can also complain to the data protection authority in your country (in Sweden: Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY)).
Who is in charge?
Your school is in charge of the information about you. It decides how Propiler is used.
Arctiv AB makes Propiler and helps your school. We may only do what your school has decided. Arctiv AB, Grönborgsgatan 2, 852 33 Sundsvall, Sweden, support@crdbag.com.
